You can't really see the hose/sprinkler from this picture, but Eleanor put her head in the sprinkler and she thought it was funny that she could see me upside down with her head between her legs.
1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

today...
...I took the kids out to play in the water. It really was nice to be out, but it was HOT! The water felt great :-) I don't remember why Sean was making this pouty face, but he really did have fun for the most part. I think Eleanor was playing with something that he wanted at the moment. He doesn't always "roll with the punches" very well.

School Supplies!
Well Sean starts all day, everyday Kindergarten this Fall! I am nervous about it, but I am hoping he will do well. He just seems so little! Plus, he still takes an afternoon nap! I think those are going to be long days for him and I just hope he isn't exhausted and hard to deal with when he comes home at the end of the day. I have my fears that I haven't given him enough freedom or taught him how to be independent enough. He will have to learn to eat his lunch by himself...not that he can't feed himself, but I just mean he has to be responsible for his food and get it eaten without my reminding him and be able to take care of his stuff. I hope that all makes sense. I'm sure it will all work out, it's just a much bigger deal than Preschool was.
Anyway, he got to pick his lunch box/bag and thermos. Spiderman of course! The thermos is actually really nice and does not leak or "sweat", so that is great! It's supposed to keep liquids hot or cold for 12 hours.
Here are his new gym shoes. They are non-marking. I was surprised since they are black soles. Again Spiderman, and they light up! I told him he has to learn to tie his shoes soon because before too long he won't be able to get shoes in his size with Velcro. But we thought it would be easier for him for now...
Here are more school supplies. The list for his school/class included two packs of white copy paper, two boxes of tissues, Clorox wipes, and gallon sized Ziploc baggies.
Here are the rest of his things... a hard pencil box, 4-pack of Expo dry-erase markers, two Elmer's glue, two glue sticks, Crayola markers, 2-dozen #2 pencils, Crayola colored pencils, 2-packs of 24 Crayola crayons, Fiskars scissors for kids, two pink erasers, and Prang water color paints. We also got a sandwich box for his lunch box. I thought it was interesting that some of the item details and brands on the list were very specific!

Park
Here is the playground that I blogged about recently
Chloe just went down the big slide by herself! She says "yay" and claps her hands everytime she goes down :-)
The last time we were at this park there were people sitting at this table eating. Chloe got up there and said "eat"! She giggled at herself too :-)
Trying to be just like brother and sister! Soon enough I am sure she will master those skills too...
Here is a close up of the leaves on the purple tree that I love! They look red with the sun shining through.
Sean found this pretty leaf and this was the last picture I took at the park before my camera died. Next time I have to remember to bring the back-up battery...

Cozy Cuddler
When I first found out I was having another little girl I went out and bought a few girly things. However, my friend Shannon gave me back the clothes I'd given her to use for her baby girl now that she's grown out of them, so I realized I didn't need some of the stuff I'd bought. Therefore I took back a pack of newborn sleepers and exchanged for this Cozy Cuddler. Thank goodness I kept everything in the packages and with the receipts just in case!
Here is a picture of Eleanor's baby doll in the car seat
The Cozy Cuddler is a 3-in-1 car seat/stroller blanket and sleeping bag and it is also reversible. I like it because it has openings for the car seat straps and it has zippers on both sides and at the bottom that allow for baby's growth.

Obviously I don't have pictures of it on the stroller since it's hot out and I didn't want to bother bringing it inside... But I am really excited that it can be used in the stroller too. I always wished I'd had a stroller blanket for my babies before when I would take walks on cool, crisp Autumn days, well and mild Winter days and some early Spring days... Now I will know that Lily will keep the blanket on and stay warm if we go for walks on cool days.
Aaarrrgh!

"Daddy, hat!"
Chloe loves her daddy and she loves to wear his hat. It's pretty cute and funny! She can say, "Daddy, hat!" really well too.
We took a walk at the park this morning and let the kids play on the playground. The cloud coverage was nice, but gracious is was so humid and still, so it seemed hard to breathe. I am getting so impressed with the kids climbing skills! All three of them have blossomed this Summer! Sean has learned how to slide down the fire pole recently and that was something he was always a little bit scared to try. Eleanor loves to climb pretty much anything she can at the park! Chloe surprised me by heading straight to the big "curly" slide and going down it all by herself! Before she always wanted someone to go with her. I didn't get any pictures of the actual playground and slides, but maybe I'll remember to do that next time...
I just love these huge flowers! I believe these are Hibiscus?
