You wouldn't know it by the pictures!

One day over Sean's Spring break I had the brilliant horrible idea of packing up some food and walking to the park for a picnic! I will say that it ended up being a little cooler and windier than I'd anticipated, but still I thought it would be something fun and different for a change. Wrong! There were flies. A lot of flies. Eleanor screamed. Sean threw his banana on the ground because a fly landed on his hand. Chloe, being Chloe, was oblivious and pretty much happy, but she doesn't sit still! Ever. So she was up and down and wandering around the table and her PB&J ended up on the ground a few times. Thankfully Lily was happy for the most part to sit in the stroller and watch the action.

Sean told me that we should never do this again. I might have to agree. At least until they are a little older and not so scared of...flies!?! Whatever!

However, once they ate what I considered to be a sufficient amount of food for their little bodies I let them each have a Fruit Roll Up. I think that lifted everyone's spirits tremendously.

Don't give up, Liv! Maybe the next one can be on your deck!

  2. Chloe not sitting still -- that sounds like Ada! Must be the restless two year old discovering the world stage or something.

Aw, sorry your picnic didn't work out so well! I've had outings like that where the one or two of the kids were not so happy.
