Chloe begged to get her ears pierced. I was honest with her and told her that it would hurt. I explained how they would clean her ears and put a dot on her ears and then they would take a "gun" and poke the earrings through her ears. I was sure to emphasize that it would hurt! So, she decided after all that, that she still wanted to have them done. I made sure to bring some candy for a treat after it was over and also a little bear for her to hold while the procedure was taking place.
Well, there was only one person there who could do the earrings and they didn't know when there would be another person there to help do both at the same time, so I decided to take my chances... Well, long story short we only got one ear pierced. The plan is to go back on Saturday and see if she will let us do the other ear. She did not like that it hurt. If all else fails I will buy the kit myself and do it at home. I'm thinking maybe I can get some ice and numb her ear first, so she won't even feel it. The lady who pierced her one ear (she happens to be a lady who goes to our church, so that was cool!) suggested that I wait until she is asleep and just do it real quick when she is asleep...we will see...that seems cruel, but maybe that would be the best way...
She likes her new earring and she really didn't cry at all, she just decided that it hurt too much to get the other one done.
