1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
This morning the kids and I went to one of our parks to take a walk and also so Sean could ride his new bike! We tried to beat the heat, but it was still pretty warm. Sean was gung-ho and ready though, so I pushed the girls in the stroller and he did so great keeping up with me on his bike! Actually sometimes I had a hard time keeping up with him! It was such a nice sunny day and even though it did get hot, it was much better than the 100+ weather we've been having lately. Count your blessings right? I was very surprised when Sean wanted to go around two times. After that he was pretty beat though. We did go swing and slide at one of the playgrounds for a while, but all of them were ready to go home and eat after that.
Goofy Sean riding his bike, so proud!
These pictures show you the size of the path that we walked/rode. I really am surprised that Sean did so well! In the third picture if you click on it to make it bigger you can see my blue Crown Vic.
Sean found a kaleidoscope at the playground. He new favorite toy!
The cousins got to splash around in the pool at mom's the other day. Eleanor preferred resting in Grammy's lap, and Chloe enjoyed her Bumbo seat. Dad mowed the lawn and we waved when he passed by.
"Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!"
It was a HOT day on the 22nd! We went to the water park for a while and it was so nice! We all had fun, but after a while the kids got tired and hungry. Chloe slept most of the time, but she woke up towards the end and I took her in the water some. Oh, by the way, she can sit up all by herself from a laying down position! I am so amazed at that little girl! Eleanor was more interested in the snacks than smiling for the picture.
In other news, Tab and the kids got here today all the way from Florida! We got to see them for just a little bit this evening, but they will be here until the middle of July, so I am sure I will got some pictures to share before too long. Also, tomorrow is Sean bday party at Grammy's house!
Chloe and Sean had their well child check ups today. Sean is 36 pounds and 43 3/4 inches! He was very excited that he got to pee in a cup for a UA! Chloe is 15 pounds and 2.5 ounces and 24 3/4 inches. She is my chunk if I compare her to the others at the same age! I must say, I am proud of myself, because that is all Mommy's Milk! She will not take any other food or a bottle at this time, but the other two were on formula and baby food at 5 months! I had wanted to exclusively breast feed for a whole year and it looks like I might not only make it to my goal but also exceed that goal! Yay me!
Now, on to more depressing news. We have been kind of looking at houses and finding that we just probably can't afford one at this time. The apartment we are in is really very nice, but we are starting to feel cramped. Also, we would love to have a yard free of dog poop for the kids to play in. Anyway, we are just asking for prayers for guidance etc. If we just need to stay put, then that is what we will do. It is fun to dream, but too often I think I get my hopes up and then I get upset when I realize that sometimes our dreams just can't come true...at least not yet!
Daddy and mommy worked together last night so that Sean would have a ScoobyDoo birthday cake today!
The kids ate a little breakfast, but we finally caved and let them have some cake this morning.
It was yummy!
Next Sean got to open some gifts from his grandparents in Missouri (they sent the money and told us to get him some things). He loved the Spiderman paper! We have something special for him at Grammy's house when we have his party!
He got a new train set and a big dinosaur!
Now we are getting ready to go the water park. It is supposed to be VERY hot today!
Sean is getting very excited to start Preschool in September, and last year I bought several Preschool books and flashcards to help him be more prepared. He loves learning and it all seems like fun and games to him right now, which I think is great!
Today we finished one of the books together and he passed with flying colors! I thought it was really neat that they had a certificate in the very back of the book, so I wrote his name on it and took a picture and told him how smart I thought he was and how great he did learning everything in the book! I think he was pretty happy with himself too.
He is terrific at Memory, and he loves counting! The alphabet is still pretty tricky for him, but he does know how to write the letters in his name, though not in order, and he is starting to recognize some letters. I think he gets confused about which symbols are letters and which are numbers. He also does very well with colors, shapes, comparing things, continuing on a sequence, and things of that nature. I hope that this love of learning new things drives him his whole life! No matter how many things I think I know, there are so many more things to learn!
Chloe is 6 months old today and I will eventually get around to doing the bear in the chair pictures. We went to the park to walk and play this morning. It was so windy, but Chloe had a good time watching everyone and trying to get some rocks and leaves in her mouth.
