Oh Happy Day!

Today has been so good! Everyone has been happy and gotten along pretty well for the most part. Sean and Eleanor had a good time coloring while I did dishes and laundry and tidied up the place. Chloe took a nice long nap this morning and has been very happy and pleasant. They are all three currently taking their afternoon nap, so I am happy with the silence that I know will just not last long enough.

However, there is another reason that today is such a happy day. Tabitha is flying in from Florida and will be here until the 2nd of March (that won't last long enough either). We are all so excited to see her! This will be the first time that she will see and get to hold Chloe. I am sure that I will have more pictures and stories to post after Tab heads back to the Sunshine State. Tomorrow Christine has graciously agreed to watch Sean and Ellie for me so that Mom, Tab, Chloe, and myself can spend the day together. I think maybe we are going to do some thrift store shopping! Saturday we will be getting together with all of the family, so I am sure that will be a fun day too. Unfortunately Tab is coming alone this time, so we will not get to see James or the kids, but I bet it will be a great break for her and a good experience for James with the kids while she is gone. I am sure that Tab will also be anxious to get back to her sweethearts and I know they will miss her too.

She is getting so strong!

Chloe really enjoys her tummy time and she can lift up her head pretty high with her little arms! Can you believe that about 2 minutes after I took these photos she just crashed out and slept for about 2 hours? It's a lot of work being 2 months old.

It may not have yet sprung, but Spring is certainly in the air

Friday the kids and I were at mom's. It was such a nice day, in the 60 degree range I believe. Anyway, we decided to take advantage of the weather and go outside. Sean and Eleanor love the Crab Apple Trees and desperately wanted to pick some apples for a pie. However, we really didn't want them to pick the apples off the trees, so we walked around to see if we could find some that had fallen to the ground.
Sean found one!

So did Eleanor!

It was oh so tempting for Eleanor to reach up and pick an apple off the tree

Eleanor found lots of crab apples and she had to stuff them in her pockets on her jacket because she couldn't keep hold of them all

I guess Eleanor thought we were really going to eat them so she tried a bite. I don't think she cared too much for their bitter taste judging by the look on her face.

Here is a smile after she spit the yucky apple out

Silly faces from Sean and Ellie in front of one of the crab apple trees

It started to get chilly and more windy as the sun started going down, so it was time to put away the toys and go inside. Sean and Eleanor made a train with all the little cars before the moved them back into the garage.

Here is a picture of Eleanor at home all ready for bed in her Dora pj's with a baby hat pulled down tight on top of her head

Mmmm Cupcakes!

I had Sean and Eleanor help me make cupcakes for Valentine's day. We had a good time mixing the ingredients together.

Sean doesn't like the sound of the mixer

OK, I'll admit it, I am a dork!!!

The End.

Our latest trip to MO

Since I didn't have to have the hernia surgery and Chris had already taken some time off to take care of me, we decided to take a little trip to MO to visit Papa and Grandma. All the kids really did great the whole way there. We didn't tell them where we were going, we just said that we were going on a trip and they didn't figure out where we were going until we pulled up in their driveway.

Surprisingly Sean and Eleanor had no potty accidents the whole way there either.

Sean even slept some of the way

Eleanor liked playing with Grandma's teddy bear and the blanket that Granny crocheted for her

Chloe got a lot of attention while we were there and she also slept all night which made me a happy Mommy. I love this little onesie, it says 'This is my little black dress'.

Papa and Grandma have a big closet under their stairs that they cleaned out for a little play room for Sean and Eleanor. They spend a lot of time in there when we visit. Their little tent even fits in there great!

The ride home was just as good as the ride there. The kids slept and there were no potty accidents. It was a good tip.
