Cooker Man

Sean and Eleanor had fun playing with the aprons today. Sean said he was a "cooker man", and Ellie was pretending to go to work like Daddy. See the Dillon's apron she is wearing?

Sailing in a sea of lovely leaves!

OK, well I guess the title is a bit deceiving, but I thought it had a nice ring to it. Chris is gone this weekend, so the kids and I spent the day at mom's yesterday. We always have a good time there and I hope Grammy and Grandad enjoy the kids as much as we enjoy being with there! Today they woke me up around 6. Not completely unusual, but still early!!! Thankfully CocoBear was still asleep, so I set up the kid's tent, gave then dry cereal and juice, put on a movie, and got to take a shower in peace:) Then, once Chloe was up and everyone was fed and dressed, we headed out to Walmart to get a few items to get us through the weekend. It went surprisingly smooth with all of us! One of the items I bought was this box of diapers for the baby. As soon as I was done emptying it, Eleanor claimed it! She had so much fun pretending. For this picture it was a boat!

After we unloaded our stuff from WallyWorld, I made the kids go potty, got us some drinks, and we went to the park to walk. It was colder than I realized, but they were bundled and I had an extra blanket for Chloe. On our walk we found some pretty leaves! Eleanor called them flowers:) I'd planned on letting them play on the playground before heading back home, but it started sprinkling just as we got back to our car! It didn't end up raining though, so after their naps we may go out again if it's not too chilly.

It's about time!

I've been meaning to get pictures of my girls in their Swedish dresses. Every two years in October there is a Swedish festival in Lindsborg. This was the year for it, but we didn't end up going because it was so cold! Also, that was around the time that we were all a little sickish, etc. Anyway, two years ago my grandma helped me make a dress for Eleanor. She was 6 1/2 months at the time, so this year it worked out great for Chloe to wear! Also last year, our friends Jill and her daughter Molly made a dress for my Niece Marcail to wear. She was between 18 and 24 months at the time, so it worked out great for Eleanor this year! Hopefully in two more years Chloe will be able to wear that one as well!

First here is a picture of Eleanor from this morning. She was so proud of herself for drawing a heart all by herself! Do you see it???

I thought it would be great to at least get pictures of the girls together in their outfits, even though we didn't go to the festival and it's a month late!

This is the shirt that Sean would've worn. He likes it and does occasionally wear it, but I could not convince him to put it on for a picture. I didn't feel like it was really worth the fight when I could just take a picture of it on the hanger anyway.

Now here are some pictures from two years ago!!!

My babes and me! Grandma helped me with the outfits.

Great Grandma Marly

The kids and I went to my grandma's house Monday morning. They enjoyed playing with all her toys, but I got a little nervous when I heard her mention paint! They were excited though. Turns out it was the best kind of paint, in my opinion! Perfect for beginners and very little mess for mommy! It was one of those paint with water coloring pages books. So fun!!! I am going to have to get more paint brushes and see if I can find some more of those books. I want to paint too:) I brought my camera with me on Monday, but for some reason I just never got it out! So, these are pics that I took today.

Grandma also sent us home with a bag full of toys and book. Plus, a doll stroller for Eleanor and a cute princess type doll for Ellie. Some of the toys in the bag were bath-like toys, so they've been enjoying new bath time toys! They lined up all their animals for me.

Worn OUT!

I had to be up early today to take Chloe to her sonogram, which was fine. She cried through it, but we won't know any results for a while. Even though I tried to be very quiet, Sean and Eleanor woke up too. Actually Sean said he woke Ellie up. Not cool. Anyway, mom ended up meeting me at the hospital and came with us to the sono. When we got done, she came back to our apartment. Chris went to work, and we got ready to take Sean to preschool. After dropping Sean off, mom, me, and the girls went to Walgreen's, and then ate at a little greasy spoon in our town. We will skip that restaurant next time around! Soon after that it was time to pick Sean up from school. Once we got home, mom went back home herself, and the kids played until lunchtime. Mealtimes are always full of drama at out table! I really wasn't hungry, so nothing sounded very good to me, and since we had recently had breakfast, I figured Eleanor wouldn't be very hungry, but she insisted that she had to have green beans! Sean ate his food very well, and Chloe did too. However, Eleanor decided that green beans were not going to be good afterall, and she whined and cried. Whatever, I really didn't care. I told her to be quiet and wait till everyone else was finished eating to get down, then I just ignored her. Next thing I knew, she was snoozing away! I guess we wore her out today!

Sandy fun!

There is a little sand pile in my parent's yard and Sean and Eleanor had fun digging for treasure on Friday! We sure did find some treasure, but not the good kind, thanks to neighboring cats lol!

Mater, you know "ta-mater", except without the "ta" on it!

Also while at mom's on Friday, the kids had fun climbing on Grandad's "Castle"! Which was really a pile of wood chips and such. Grammy even let them pick what was left of her tomatoes. They were very green and we think maybe they had frozen, then thawed because most of them had mushy spots and just didn't look too good. But they didn't mind!

Chloe had fun sitting on the pile with her tomato also!

Then she tried to eat it. Since she only has two tiny teeth on the bottom she didn't even make a dent!

Fun with chalk at Grammy's

We brought chalk to mom's when we were there on Friday. Kids had fun with that. For a while they colored leaves, but mostly they just drew on the concrete. They like to draw snails, rainbows, the moon, people (family), but this time Sean also decided to draw Gustafer Yellowgold!

Chloe tried to join the fun!

Chloe loves to laugh at Sean!

Chloe

The kids and I spent most of Friday at my mom and dad's while Chris was at work. It was such a nice day! November in Kansas and in the 70's! Also, the wind was mild, so that was nice too. Because it was so nice out, we spent a lot of time outside on the back porch. Chloe was mostly held or sat in her walker since there are just too many things for her to get into if she were on the ground crawling. At first she was not thrilled with the walker, but she got used to it and started walking in it a little. Here are some pictures of her from that day.
