1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Today is my sister's birthday! She is 28!!! I love her dearly and wish there were not so many miles between us so we could celebrate together, but I am praying that she is feeling happy and blessed on her special day!
Here are some favorite pictures from Tab's most recent trips to KS Tab, our mom, and me in July
Tab and Marcail in June Blowing and catching bubbles at Sean's bday party
Tab, our dad, and me at the bowling alley in Feb or March?
Tab and Eleanor in September before they moved back to Florida in December This one is so sweet! Eleanor obviously thinks Aunt Tab is as special as I do:)
At that park yesterday we saw a lovely red (Maple?) leaf. I LOVE this time of year when the weather gets cooler and the trees become more colorful! I would have Fall all year long if I could!
Eleanor got creative on our walk. She wore the monkey backpack and figured out a way to carry her water cup too!
We found some beautiful wild Kansas Sunflowers!
Sean has a cough, no other symptoms, and for some reason it cracks me up because when he coughs or laughs he sounds like a smoker, but he is so little. Anyway, here is a silly Sean video so you can see what I mean.
There are some days that we just should've stayed in bed! Yesterday was one of those days, but in the end, it was an interesting adventure. Saturday was Chris's first day off in quite a little while. He usually wants to stay home and do nothing, but I like to go out and do stuff on his days off because I have been home with the kids and need some social interaction! We finally agreed to go for a drive out into the country to look at an old brick school house that is for sale. I do know how to get there, but I misjudged the roads and turned a bit too early. When I realized this I thought maybe I should turn and go back, but we both said, 'oh well, let's just turn up here and we will get back on track'...famous last words! The roads to this house are all paved, but since I turned at the wrong place we had to go on some dirt roads. At first I said that I hoped they weren't too wet, but we both thought that they looked fine to drive on. Well, low and behold they were much more wet than they looked and the car started to swerve a bit. At this point we could not turn around because there was quite a bit of muddy water in the ditches on either side. It was too late and we were STUCK!
This is what Chloe was doing before we left. I think she had the right idea for the day, but we had other plans.
Here is the car officially stuck. It doesn't look so bad, but the wheels would not turn!
You can see tracks where Chris pushed the car from behind and I gave it all the power it could muster from the driver's seat!
Eventually we did call my dad to come and help pull us out with his truck. Wish I would've gotten pictures of the story's hero, but I don't know where my mind was at this point? However, we did have a little time to enjoy the nature around us while we waited for his appearance.
Sean said we needed Mr. Incredible to come help.
Wouldn't ya know Chris wore his new Nike's!
Chloe was happy and slept for most of the ordeal.
In the end we did get to drive out and look at the house. I don't know what the future holds, but we did contact our Realtor and are planning on looking at this house sometime this week. I am excited about it and the possibilities it could have... Now we know not to try to take any short cuts!
After our muddy experience in the previous post the car needed a bath! We decided to take it through the automatic car wash. Then afterwards Chris took it to the self serve car wash to get what the automatic missed. There was a LOT of mud caked to the bottom and the tires. This was a new experience for the kiddos. We NEVER wash our cars, so it was fun.
Sean thought it was the coolest thing ever and Eleanor was not so sure...
The soap is multicolored! Awesome!
Poor Baby Chloe did not appreciate the car wash one bit! You can see a tear going down her sweet little cheek.
When we went to my mom's the other day, she gave each of the kids a bandanna. Eleanor wanted to wear hers on her head today, so I took a picture because I thought she looked pretty cute.
Also, when we went to Goodwill the day I got Sean's horse costume, I also found these cute little boots for Chloe for this Winter. I found lots of other things too, but I won't take pictures of it all.
The kids and I spent the day with my mama. We went to Goodwill and ate at Burger King. The little ones took a nap and when they woke up we went outside to enjoy the fresh, but muggy air. While we were outside, we saw a grasshopper. I thought his green body and long, skinny legs were picture worthy.
Sean gets to sit in a big boy booster in Grammy's car
At Goodwill I got this awesome horse/cowboy costume for Sean to wear for Halloween. He loves it!
Eleanor put her bib on Chloe and it looked like she had on a cape, so we decided that she was a super hero! I love her pose and her goofy goober expression!
I had to get some more baby food the other day, but of course since the baby food is in the baby clothes section of Wal-Mart, I also just had to look. It is so fun to look at all the cute clothes! I noticed that they have some Fall and Halloween stuff out already and then I spotted some cute pajamas. I guess I am kind of a sucker for kids pjs. Anyway, they had all the sizes I need, so I got matching ones for the girls. We are really starting to get into the spirit of the new season of Autumn and with that comes Halloween! I think I have three sweet little skeletons who love their "mummy" heeheehee! And the cool thing is that they glow too! Please ignore the red-eye. I forgot to edit before I posted. I hate red-eye in pictures!
Also in the kids clothes section we saw some hats that were on clearance for $1.00 each!
