1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
There is a park across the street from the Library and behind the City Hall building. I always forget it is there, but it is so very nice. I will certainly remember it from now on. Here are some pictures from today.
There is a very nice fish pond and picnic area.
My sweet family taking in the view.
Sean took this picture of Chris and I!
Eleanor wanted to take a picture of mommy and daddy too.
When we got home Sean wanted to show me how strong he is!
We were walking at the park again when I happened to look up and see some very interesting flowers. I really wanted to get a closer look, so Chris held Sean up so he could help get one down
Princess and the kids were here at her parent's house over the weekend and we got together with them yesterday. It was so nice outside. We let the kids play and Princess's mom and dad made a picnic for all of us!
We waited too long to try to get a group picture and the kids were getting tired and grumpy. These still turned out pretty good.
At least someone was in good picture taking mood! This is Princess's mom.
Everyone wanted to get their hands on Chloe
We got to have Prisca's baby Kirri, for some of the day too! She and Chloe are just 2 weeks apart. Prisca had to work, so we were unable to spend time with her.
Took another walk at the park today. It is kind of a daily thing now. Anyway, to my amazement, the eggs were still there! I don't know if a person or an animal did it, but they had been partially covered up with some mulch that is around the tree. I am very curious to see what will happen! I am finding that it takes approx. 28 days for duck eggs to hatch. They also have to have lots of warmth and be turned several times a day.
We walked at our normal park, but played at a different one. This one is a bit more shaded and the kids seem to like it a little better. There is more for them to climb on. The big blue band aid on Eleanor's ankle is in hope that she will not scratch her huge mosquito bite.
I have been meaning to write about this for a while, but I keep forgetting, so while it is now on my mind I will do it! Sean has been saying Chloe's name since before she was born, but Eleanor very rarely says it. At first I just thought maybe she didn't quite know how to form the sounds, however, I am starting to think that she just doesn't want to because she is just a tad bit jealous. She can say it very well when she does, but almost always she just says "that baby", which actually sounds more like "la baby". Anyway, she will say, "mama, la baby seepin?", or "where la baby?", or "la baby eatin...(fill in the blank)". I think you get the idea. So today I was holding Eleanor on my lap and we were cuddling and talking and just having some good ol mom and daughter time together, which is quite rare for us since Chloe seems to "need" me so much of the time. Well, as fate would have it, Chloe got fussy and I finally picked her up and said that I could hold both of my girls. Eleanor snuggled a little closer and said, "mama, I want la baby go away".
Our library recently did some remodeling. It's been done for a while, but I haven't been back until today. The library is just not a place I go with three small and sometimes loud children. Anyway, I did take a few pictures because it is very nice!
Eleanor loved the little couches that were just her size:)
When Sean got done looking at books, he got to play in the children's room!
This room is also where they have board books in these colorful plastic bins. In our house board books are known as "Eleanor's books" and paper books are know as "Sean's ripping books" because sometimes Eleanor is not very gentle and we have to really watch her so she doesn't rip the paper books and oftentimes we ask Sean to help Eleanor get some of her own hard books off the shelf that she can't rip.
I was very impressed to find that they also have a separate "nursing room"!
Here is another stained glass window, this one of a tree, and a cute statue of two little kids reading on a bench. Sean and Eleanor thought that was very interesting.
First, a picture of the kids holding hands and walking together at the park:)
OK, this morning we took a walk and found 16 duck eggs in a nest on the ground under the shade of a big tree! I don't know much about ducks and eggs, etc. I don't know if anything will come of these eggs, but it sure would be great to see some sweet little ducklings at the park one day soon! Usually in years past we have seen baby ducks, and I have seen eggs at the park before, but never this many! Anyway, I will keep you posted if anything happens! I have my fears that there could be some vandalism. Kind of makes me sick to think of it, but I would not be surprised. This nest of eggs is not well hidden and they are in an area of the park that is well visited. My guess would be that mama duck laid them last night when it was dark and quiet. We were there last evening and took a walk and to my knowledge they were not there then.
Eleanor found these cute sunglasses at the park. I am sure some poor little kid was upset when they realized that they'd forgotten them, but we claimed them anyway since there was no one around. They really are quite cute! The are glittery and have rainbow stripes on them too!
I keep meaning to mention that my flowers are doing quite well so far. Someone plucked my Petunias out of the dirt and threw them by our front door. I thought they were probably done for, but I replanted and watered them and I have actually gotten a new bloom! Also, my parents brought two new flowers and also some mulch to put around to help keep in the moisture and make them look prettier! I see lots of little buds on my Marigolds and they are slowly getting bigger and looking more golden! Can't wait for them to be in full bloom!
Chloe was 5 months old yesterday so here are the new pics!!! There were too many good ones for me to just post a couple. Here are the last set of pics if you want to compare growth!
I think this one is cute with her ankles crossed!
She got the giggles:)
Looks like she's trying to hula!
Sean wanted her to have pictures with some of his animals
Tomorrow I will post some more videos of this little giggle box!
Yesterday morning Chloe slept in! On my bed. That is usually where she ends up in the middle of the night because I fall asleep while feeding her and I am too tired to take her back to bed.
After she woke up we went to our favorite park to walk and play.
