Mother-Daughter Banquet 2009

My Grandma, mom, sister Christine, Aunt Julie, and myself and daughters, went to a Mother-Daughter Banquet last evening. We all had a pleasant time together.

If this were a race, Chloe would be winning!

It is so hard not to compare even though I love my kids equally and they are all completely different personalities, but I am going to anyway.

Sean ~ Rolled from tummy at 14 weeks

Eleanor ~ Rolled from tummy at 4 months

Chloe ~ Rolled from tummy at 13 weeks and 6 days

----------------------------------------------------

Sean ~ Rolled from back at 5 months

Eleanor ~ Rolled from back at 2 days before her 5 month "birthday"

Chloe ~ Rolled from back today! She is 4 months and 8 days old!

Maybe it is because she is the third baby and she feels the need to keep up with her big brother and sister, or maybe it is her personality, I don't know, but Chloe is very ambitious! Not sure what that means for the future!

Lazy, rainy, Sunday afternoon

As I worked on the post below (ABC's of Me), this is what the rest of the family was doing, except for Chloe who was playing in her ExerSaucer.

I'm bad at coming up with titles

I took the kids to the park this aft/eve. It was the first time this year that they had the fountain going so we stopped to look. When I took the first picture I didn't realize that I had it set to black and white, but I kind of like the way it turned out.

2 silly things

1. I got a "new" play shirt for Eleanor at the local thrift store the other day and after washing it, I put it on her today before we went out to play. She was very excited about her new shirt, but the tag must have been scratching her side. She finally pulled her shirt up and found the tag, then very happily proclaimed, "There a book in there mommy!". In Eleanor's 2-year-old mind anything that has words on it must be a book, even if it is just a receipt from Walmart!

2. Once we were outside playing, Sean was having a blast in his own little world. By the way, he now has an imaginary friend that he talks to all day long! Anyway, he was running around, riding his trike, coloring with chalk and so on when he happened to spot a ladybug in the grass. We looked at it and talked about how we'd seen one at Grammy's house the other day and then he said, "that was the cutest little ladybug I ever seen in my entire life!".

"It's raining, it's pouring..."

At least that's what the kids were playing inside today! And apparently this is how you are supposed to dress if it is raining! Eleanor likes to sit in the Bumbo and pretend that it is her car.

Chloe Lovey Doughnut!

Before Chloe was born and before we knew her gender, I found this little onesie/top at a thrift store. I am still not sure if it is made for a boy or a girl, but I think that there is something cutely retro about it. It looks like a doughnut with a heart-shaped hole in the middle and it says Heart Doughnut. The tag has Chinese or Japanese? writing on it.

Today while we were eating our lunch Chloe fell asleep under her farm/barnyard toy thingy (I never know what to call it).

These pictures always make her face look chunkier than it is.

Trying to get all artsy on ya!

Warm and windy

We have been having some very warm and windy days. I don't mind the warmth and I know that it is only going to get warmer, so we should enjoy the more mild days while we can. However, I do try to avoid the wind! A couple days ago the kids begged to go outside so I finally agreed even though I knew the wind would be crazy. Funny thing is, they don't seem to notice! Chloe sat in her Bumbo with her little hat (to shade her from the sun) and watched us color with sidewalk chalk.

Eleanor was very protective of "her" chalk.
She held it in her lap and handed chalk to Sean and me.

Some of my own "kidisms"

When Eleanor asks me what I am doing, she will say, "What you dodoon?" When Eleanor says that she loves someone, she will say, "I lolu". Today when Eleanor was trying to give Sean a hug, but he didn't want to cooperate and he asked her why she wanted him, she said, "Eecau (because) I lolu Sean!" I know there are more, but this is all I can think of right now.

I have had a request

My sister suggested posting pictures of my three kids at similar ages to compare. She also suggested posting a picture of me at this age, but I do not have one right now, so maybe eventually I will.
Here is Sean in the 3-4 month range

I believe Eleanor was about 5 or 6 months here
Here is Chloe at 4 months

Growing like a weed!

As of yesterday, Chloe is now four months old

I think her eyes are actually going to be brown and not blue like originally suspected
