Some Success!

Eleanor has recently been telling me when she needs to go potty! I am so happy and proud! I think she will be much easier to train than Sean was. I think she looks pretty happy and proud of herself too!

I've always loved black and white pictures of baby feet, so I took some of Chloe the other day. I know they are not very professional looking and they are a bit blurry, but I still think her little feet are so precious!

And here is her sweet little face. Content and happy to sleep in mommy's arms.

Tummy time makes me sleepy

Chloe likes her tummy time much more than my other babies ever did! However, she usually ends up falling asleep on her tummy, so I don't know if that really counts. She actually sleeps better on her tummy than she does in any other position. She will sleep for three hours straight on her tummy for one of her daytime naps! At night she will sleep for 6 hours if she is swaddled and well fed right before she doses off. I just need to make myself go to bed as soon as all three kids go to bed, but I usually end up staying up way later than I should.

My little Swaddle-Bug

The kids and I spent the day at Mom's/Grammy's on Friday and one of my sister's/Aunt Christine's favorite pastimes while we are there is to hold Chloe, even if she is fussy! Sometimes when Chloe gets fussy we will swaddle her up and rock her to sleep. I became a great swaddler when Sean was a baby and it has come in handy with all of my sweet babes. Usually it calms them down almost instantly! Here are some pictures of Chloe all swaddled up in Aunt Christine's arms. We were talking about how cute babies are swaddled and that they look like little cocoons and reminded us of Anne Geddes babies.

1 Month

Chloe was 1 month old on the 19th!
Here is/are the promised monthly teddy bear and Chloe pictures.
Month 1

I couldn't decide which outfit I like better

She got sleepy

This was her 2 weeks and 2 day picture.
She's filled out some and gotten longer since then!

Sean wanted a picture with his dragon!

Eleanor wanted a picture with her Blue's Clues puppy, but she wouldn't sit still and cooperate and smile, so maybe another time...

Tell me what you think

I was recently wondering if Chloe looks similar to the 3D sonogram that we had done at 28 weeks, so I am posting pictures to let you decide! So tell me what you think!

Little Mommy

This morning while I was trying to console a fussy Chloe, and Sean was playing happily with his cars, I realized that Eleanor was nowhere to be seen! I listened for a few seconds and heard some noises that I thought were coming from her bedroom, but when I walked down the hallway I realized that the sounds were actually coming from the bathroom...well...bathtub to be exact! This is what I found...

Apparently "Little Mommy" thought her baby doll needed a bath!

"Turn the doorbob Ellienor"

Yesterday afternoon while I was feeding Chloe, Eleanor got herself locked in the room she shares with Sean. I was frustrated with her because she knows that is a no-no and she was sooo quiet in there that I was also a little bit worried. I asked Sean if he would go knock on the door and ask her if she was OK. He diligently did as instructed and came back to tell me that she was fine. However, he really wanted to get in their room so he could play with her, so he went back to the door and said, "Ellienor, turn the doorbob!", and he continued to do this and knock on the door until I was able to get up from feeding Chloe and get the door open using a paper clip. I tried to tell him that she doesn't know how to open the door, but he didn't believe me and then I also tried to tell him that the word is actually doorKNob, and not doorBob, but everytime he would repeat it back to me as doorbob. I thought that it was kind of cute and funny. Anyway, I also think it's cute that he calls Eleanor, Ellienor. I think maybe he just puts her name and her nickname together as one name, although he prefers when I call her Boogie-Butt when I am just being silly.

Pink Bumbo Baby

Here is my sweet Chloe in her Bumbo! I have wanted one of these since Sean was a baby and now that I have my third baby I finally have one! It was a Christmas gift from my Mother-in-Law Sue. She is really too small for it just yet, but I wanted to see her in it just for fun and she seemed to really like it a lot! Usually she cries when I put her down, but she was happy as soon as I put her in it. When she gets a little more head control I can put her in this seat more often and for longer periods of time and it will help to strengthen her muscles and teach her to sit up.

She had hickups while she was in the seat too:)

My children and their strange eating habits

I am sitting here while my children finish their lunch and I just don't understand why they do what they do. They both did a good job...for the most part...eating their green beans and oranges and applesauce, but now they are finishing up their PB&J. Sean apparently has crust-phobia and he gags and cries when he chews up the crust. Eleanor apparently can't eat any kind of sandwich without first dissecting it and she would really prefer to get her hair and face as sticky as possible in the process. When they are finished eating Sean barely has any food on his face, hands, or bib, but Eleanor will need to have the washcloth rinsed at least twice during her clean up time!

And then there is Chloe. So far she is my best little eater! Let's hope it stays that way too!

That's all, just wanted to share.

Happy Baby = Happy Mommy!

My sweet friend Roni stopped by today to give me this baby sling/pouch/carrier...whatever you want to call it. Anyway, she made it herself! Roni also has a baby girl named Kristen who is 5 weeks old, so Chloe and Kristen are just two weeks apart! Anyway, Roni made herself one of these slings and her baby loves it and Roni loves it because it is hands free! So, I decided to try it out this afternoon when Chloe got fussy and she immediately fell asleep! In fact, she is still sleeping in it as I sit and type! There are supposed to be several different ways to wear the sling, but I haven't done any experimenting just yet.

Here is what it looks like on

More Chloe

OK, the first three pictures are of Chloe with my old Angel bear and then also wearing the bear's outfit. I don't know the full story of how I got this bear, but I know that it was mine when I was quite young and I always called her "Angel bear".

Now my own sweet angel is wearing this little bear's outfit

Here is Chloe with her Einstein hair after her bath today. She is also wearing the darling outfit Great Grandma Jerry "Bubbles" got her.

I have decided that every month until Chloe turns one I am going to take a picture of her in this chair next to this bear so we can watch her grow! Here is our first month, or shall we say zero month (2 weeks 2 days)!

My Three Kids

Sleepy little Chloe. For the background I used a quilt that Chris' Granny made for us.

Some older pics from my mom's camera

Henry, Sean, and Marcail with their Great Grandad Dale (Dad's Dad)

Eleanor giving Aunt Tab kisses

Sean doing...something with a flower! At first I thought he was smelling it, but I think maybe he thought it was a dandelion and was trying to blow all the seeds away.

Sean and Eleanor

Later I am going to try to get some pictures of all three of them together in their red shirts, but right now it is naptime:)
